Villa Agaraha

The ground floor consists of an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The living areas comfortable sofas are arranged around the open fireplace and entertainment is provided by the satellite television (limited channels), DVD player, CD player and Playstation 2. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The washing machine is located on the landing area of the first floor along with an additional sink and storage cupboards. A large dining table comfortably seating 8 in its high backed chairs is provided for formal dining with a smaller dining table and 6 chairs provided in the kitchen for less formal dining. A guest cloakroom is located on this floor. The first two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, a twin bedroom and a double bedroom each with an en-suite shower room and patio doors leading out to the pool area and carefully tended grounds. The remaining two bedrooms are located on the first floor, a master double bedroom and a twin bedroom each with its own en-suite bathroom. As well as boasting a private balcony, the master double bedroom has access to the large pool facing balcony shared with the twin bedroom, which enjoys a view encompassing fields, orange groves and the expanse of blue sea that gently laps the Argaka shoreline. Each of the bedrooms and the living area is equipped with an air conditioning unit* for both cooling and heating. A safety deposit box and hairdryer are supplied and a baby cot and highchair can be provided on request. Outside the large 10m x 5m private swimming pool takes pride of place in the centre of the sunbathing terrace furnished with sunbeds, umbrellas and a poolside shower. A table and chairs placed under a shady pergola are perfect for those looking for a break from the heat of the midday sun or for shaded outdoor dining making full use of the built in barbecue facilities provided.

Argaka is located on the coastal plains of the Chrysochous area away from the more mainstream destinations. Nourished by its own reservoir this agricultural area is well known for its abundance of citrus orchards. The settlement of Argaka itself is divided into two parts, Pano Argaka (upper) located between the sea and the pine forest is the older of the two communities. Here, traditional style architecture can be found amongst the narrow, winding roads and the traditional spirit of Cyprus is still very much in evidence at the local kafenion which provides a focal point for the village's residents to gather, exchange news and pass the time of day. Kato Argaka (lower) is the newer settlement standing next to the sea. Although this area features more contemporary style residences, a small supermarket, a kiosk, a bakery and a handful of tavernas the atmosphere is still very laidback. The nearest restaurant is approximately 150 metres from the villa with a further 5 tavernas being found along a 3 kilometre strip of the coastal road that leads back towards Polis. The undeveloped beaches of the Argaka area stretch along a natural coastline of coarse sand, shingle and pebble. For a day here you will need to bring your own beach mat and umbrella. Refreshments can be found at one of the tavernas scattered along the coastal road or you can take a cool box and lunch under the shade of the trees in one of the designated picnic areas. Polis is the principal town for the region, huddled around a pedestrianised square where visitors and locals gather in the mornings to enjoy a coffee and watch the world pass by and in the evenings to dine at one of the wide selection of restaurants, tavernas and cafes which radiate out from the centre. The town has an archaeological museum and cultural centre. Polis which is approximately 10 kilometres away offers the nearest organized beach to the villas backed by tall Eucalyptus trees.
