Secret Valley Golf Club

The Secret Valley Golf Club is probably the most prestigious golf course in Cyprus, located in the famous area of Petra tou Romiou, the birthplace of Aphrodite, 18km east of Paphos and 49km west of Limassol.
Opened in 1996, the Secret Valley golf course, designed by Iacovos Iacovou, nestles in a scenic valley, surrounded by grand trees which add an aura of maturity to this fairly new golf course. The Sty Kingly rock formation offers panoramic views, giving golfers both the beauty of nature and the pleasure of golf.
The golf course measures 5,904m and plays to a par 71, and players without a handicap certificate can play after noon on request, depending on availability.
The facilities at the Secret Valley clubhouse in Cyprus offer a fully stocked pro shop, locker rooms, bar, a restaurant with verandas overlooking the golf course, putting greens, chipping areas, fairway bunkers, a large driving range, buggy rental, trolley rental (electrical and manual) and locker rental. Tuition is tailored to individual needs and can be conducted on a one-to-one or group basis.

Tersefanou Golf and Country Club

In addition to the other wonderful courses on Cyprus, a further golf course is planned at Tersefanou, which is a village just outside Larnaca.
Scheduled for completion in 2010, the golf course at Tersefanou Golf & Country Club is expected to be PGA approved and will boast a five-star hotel and spa facilities. There will also be luxury villas and apartments built on and around the course.
Since the announcement of the Tersefanou golf course, several new developments have sprung up around Tersefanou and the area of the golf course. This has also had an effect on other villages in the locality, such as Kiti, Mazatos and Pavolia, which are all seeing an increase in the building of villas and apartments to accommodate the expected influx of golfers and holiday makers for their holiday rental in Cyprus.

Aphrodite Hills Golf Club

The Aphrodite Hills Golf Club is located near Paphos in Cyprus, overlooking the Mediterranean, taking its name from the birthplace of Aphrodite, which it overlooks. Aphrodite Hills has been described as an award winning 18 hole championship golf course and academy.
Designed by Cabell B. Robinson, this Cyprus golf course was officially opened in 2002 and is considered to be one of the best in Cyprus. Surrounded by a protected forest, the fairways cut a swathe through lakes, olive and carob trees and the golf course comprises two plateaux separated by a dramatic ravine which offers golfers an original and breathtakingly stunning backdrop.
The Aphrodite Hills golf resort itself spans a massive 234 hectares (578 acres) with the golf course weaving in and around the development. The golf course is 6,299m long and plays at a par 71/70.

Minthis Hills Golf Club

Minthis Hills Golf Club can lay claim to being the first grass golf course built in Cyprus. Completed in 1994, it is located 20 minutes from Paphos and is elevated 550m above sea level, ensuring a calming cool breeze during the warm summer months.
This 18 hole golf course, designed by Donald Steel, blends effortlessly into its natural surroundings. The fairways, lined with numerous fruit trees and grape vines, mostly have uphill, downhill or side hill slopes. The golf course measures 6,060m, plays to a par 72 and accommodates players of all abilities.
The facilities at the clubhouse include a restaurant, bar, ladies and gents changing rooms equipped with showers, an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, a driving range, putting green and pitching and chipping area. The pro shop offers clients other facilities such as golfing accessories, a boutique, electrically powered golf carts and trolleys, and there is help at hand in the form of tuition and guidance for those who feel they need it, given by a PGA professional.

Vikla Golf & Country Club

The Vikla Golf and Country Club was founded in 1992, designed by Robin Houry. It is situated near the village of Vikla in Cyprus, close to Larnaca and a 20km drive from Limassol. For €34 you can play all day, and this price includes club hire, balls, tees and water.
This golf club is one of the more relaxed in Cyprus and prides itself on customer service; the dress code here is casual and a handicap certificate is not required.

The clubhouse at the Vikla Golf and Country Club has an excellent standard of drinks and bar snacks to offer at affordable prices, and, for those who are not golfers, there is a swimming pool and outside terrace overlooking the green to enjoy. The pro shop has clubs and trolleys available to hire and an excellent selection of golfing equipment for sale.
